Barely Functional
This was a gift, and I do not want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but it is redundant for me. I use lemons and limes only, and the little wooden citrus squeezers I have works perfectly well. I slice the lemon, push the wooden citrus shaped or oval shaped tool into the lemon and rotate my wrist. All of the lemon or lime juice is extracted. I do this with a filter over a bowl, so that all the seeds are caught. When I use this large stoneware juicer, I find it too bulky and too big to use for one lemon or lime. My daughter uses a lot of lemons to place in a pitcher of water for a refreshing drink. She uses an electric juicer, which is much more efficient than this stoneware juicer.Does anyone have any suggestions for the use of this juicer? Not Recommended For Me. prisrob 09-01-13

Handle is too small
This juicer does an excellent job getting all of the juice from lemons and limes (I haven't tried any other citrus fruits yet). It is quite large and heavy, however, and the handle isn't quite substantial enough to counteract the weight of it. Overall, I don't think it matters too much, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It's very cute and looks great in my kitchen with all the rest of my candy-shell colored items!

It was ok, but too big
Returned it, too big, too bulky, but would certainly last for those who need a larger kitchen orange juicer! But too big for me...

Gift Recepient Was Quite Pleased
A family member wanted this juicer and was very pleased with it. I love the vibrant colors, as she does. It is decidely low tech in its function but suits the purpose well.

easy lemonade making
I have been using this to make fresh lemonade and we are all very happy with it. I even let the kids use it. It's solid and easy enough to use without them tipping it over while pushing on the lemons. I also like that it cleans up easily even if you let the citrus dry on it a little water and it loosens right off.It is a little on the heavy side so the kids have to use both hands to pour. My mom who has trouble with her wrists is able to use it without trouble. It also doesn't have a good way to fish out the seeds but we use a strainer over the pitcher when we pour because the kids don't like the pulp anyway.Overall, I really liked this item. It's easy to use, looks nice and is solidly made to last.

Beware! Does not work well for oranges or grapefruit!
I wanted to love this citrus reamer. I drink large quantities of organic orange and grapefruit juice. I am very picky about the reamers I use. I like to make my juice by hand. There are some designs that are efficient for making juice with a reamer. This product has some excellent ones, for example a deep dish, an excellent pouring spout, and a nice handle. The factor that ruins this product and makes the design almost, I am sorry, STUPID, is that the reamer is so narrow and sharp that it is only useful for lemons or limes. It really does not do a good job with oranges or grapefruit. I was hoping this would be my ultimate reamer, but I must warn you, it would be best to look for one with a much wider reamer so it can be used for oranges and grapefruits.

A little pricey, but works good
Not great, but good. I believe that $10 is a more appropriate price, but I need a juicer and this one was available. It does the job though
