Women's Victorian Steampunk Revolution Corset

I ordered the Large, they sent me a small. Fortunately, Amazon customer service helped rush me a replacement item the next day - the right size this time! As others have said, it does run small - so you need to order at least 1-2 sizes larger. For reference, I'm 5'4", 130 lbs, 34D and ordered a large. It fits okay - about as good as I can do, but I still need to tweak it a little so I don't fall out of the top!Like others have said, this is not a very well made corset. And I knew that going in. I have a very well made corset, with steel boning that I paid $100 for, and that is typically what you can expect for a good quality corset. But I purchased this anyway for a costume that I will only wear once or twice, not a long-term purchase. The boning is plastic, the laces are ribbons (instead of real corset laces) and should not be tightened too tight. This corset is more of a bustier and should not be used for waist training, anyway.UPDATE: I ordered this about a month ago, and since then, I ordered real corset lacing to replace the flimsy ribbon. I was worried that tightening them too much would cause them to snap. Anyway, I replaced the lacing and now it feels MUCH MORE secure when I tighten it. The laces don't slip through the grommets as easily because they are thicker than the ribbon. I am happier after this modification and look forward to wearing it!

I actually expected this to fit smaller than it did. Normally, when I order corsets at this size, I have a gap in the back but there was no gap in this one. This is very sexy and it made my modest chest look more dramatic. The reason I give it four stars is because the bottom goes down low and when I sit, my legs interfere with it and it rounds out at the bottom. I don't have a long torso (13" from the top of my chest to my hip crease, when sitting) so I think this top would work well for girls with longer torsos. Also, the bottom clasp has a tendency to come undone. It's a lightweight, fashion top and not a real corset. Overall, I like it a lot and it serves my purposes :)

The construction is very poor with the stitching being the main problem. The seams came apart on the first wearing as did the attachments for the latches. The "modesty" cover only covers about half the area along the back and the grommets on the back for the lacing fall out. The "leather" is cheap plastic which I am sure will not last very long if this item is actually used on a regular basis. The fitting is poor and seems to be made to fit someone with a tiny waist and very large breasts with very little ability to adjust. It is impossible to lace up the back and then use the latches to put the garment on and off so you have to lace and re-lace for each use. This takes 2 people to put it on, one to wear it and another to lace it up.In general this is not a very good product.

For the price, it is well made and so flattering. I have more expensive corsets but I think I like this one the best. I especially like that it comes down a little longer, too. The only downside is that I think they run a little small. I am a size 10 / Bra size 36 D but I bought the extra large and I am glad that I did. I don't think that a large would have kept my girls in.

Nice design and seems to run true to size. Only complaint is that the clasps are made of rather cheap material. Every time I take it off the third clasp in the middle falls off completely. It fits back into place but is only secure when I'm wearing the piece with tension on it. Deducted two stars for that issue. Worked well for the photoshoot I bought it for but don't expect it to last with consistent use. But for the price I can't complain too much.

I loved the look of this corset. It went great with the rest of my Steampunk costume.The corset did run very small. I ordered it in Red Large, but returned it for the Black XXL. The clasp broke while I was at the party and I was unable to fix it . I plan on returning it.

This corset is NOT FOR RENAISSANCE FESTIVALS. This is not for practical use AT ALL. I mistakenly bought this one thinking that is was a copy of one I already have in brown, which has steel boning and real corset string. This however has plastic for boning and ribbon for the lacing (which I knew at time of purchase and simply thought I'd grab some corset string from my local ren faire). It's extremely light, the clasps are not up to the job of keeping someone laced in for more than a couple hours at most.The description and picture was quite misleading, seeing as how this corset is lingerie quality and not everyday use appropriate in construction. It even comes with a poorly made thong, which I was not expecting in the least and have no use for.If you're looking for a costume to go out in public with THIS IS NOT THE CORSET YOU WANT. Do not let the price draw you in like it did me. Go find one around $100-$200, it won't disappoint.
