Highly recommended!
I'm new to making artisan bread. When I purchased this, I really didn't understand it's use, but I wanted to learn. I'm so happy I chose this brand and thrilled that it was available on Amazon Prime. The design is really pretty cool! These are very easy to use, and gives your bread a more professional look. When your guests ask you where you bought the bread, it gives you great pleasure to inform them that you made it! They appear to be well made, and I imagine they will age beautifully. I highly recommend this bowl.

Nice proofing baskets
These proofing baskets work well and seem durable. Satisfied. I've got good bread coming out of them. After a number of uses they are well seasoned. I don't use a linen liner- don't see the need for that.

Attractive, functional and durable
I'm still learning how to make breads from sticky doughs using this baskets. My breads come out perfectly done, with lovely crust and the shape of the basket. But I have had trouble getting a sticky honey containing dough to release. Regular, well floured doughs release well from the dusted basket. Clean up by water soaking and sponging restores the basket for the next use. Durability is just fine.

Great for bread making!
Great for proofing in the PNW and my loaves have been wonderful ever since I bought this. Definitely dust with the appropriate amount of flour to keep from sticking.

A beautiful loaf!
I have only used this proofing basket once so far. It performed beautifully. I used Einkorn all purpose flour to flour the basket to keep the dough from sticking. It worked perfectly. My small strainer floured the basket quite easily and well. Just wish I had taken a picture of my lovely Christmas bread!

Dusted the Heck Out of It and Am Happy With It
I read to dust it with lots of flour. (Not wheat flours.) So I used rice flour. Lots of it. But not enough the first time. So added more the next time. It just gets better and better with use. I'll admit, the first time when the dough did not release quickly, it was disappointing to my ego. But it did not ruin the bread. So, if you struggle the first few times, don't give up. Just add more dusting flour the next time. I've got it dusted well enough now that all I have to do it this: After final proofing, dust counter with rice flour. Dump loaf from basket onto counter. Scoop hands under loaf and transfer to hot baker. Rice flour remaining on counter: use hands or dough scraper/cutter and transfer to basket. Using fingers, run gentle circles around the basket to settle the "dust". Most of the time that is all the more dusting flour I need to add to the basket at a time. But, those first few times needed lots of dusting flour added. I'm very happy with this and have ordered other shapes and sizes.

It's ready to go, just add the dough.
Good price and product. Asks me to mix up some dough for it, but I just let it rest.

Works well.
I'd give it 4.5 Stars if I could. Solid construction, but it did come with some rough spots. I went through with tweezers to pull out any bits sticking out. Also had a funky smell at first. The smell disappeared after I wiped it down with a moist cloth. To prep, I misted with a squirt bottle and floured heavily. Then I let it dry, flipped it over, and lightly tapped out the extra. First use had no sticking at all. Very nice pattern on loaf after proofing in these.

No regrets
It delivers. No regrets with this purchase. Could take quite a large dough. Pictured above is a half kilo dough (at 70% hydration), but the banneton can probably take another 25% or more.

Finally - something that works!!!!
I have had various flirtations with bread making on and off but generally give up due to proving problems. Proving in containers (floured, oiled, cloth lined, whatever) - more dough left in than turns out. Prove on a baking sheet and it collapses; prove in tin and it doesn't come out. Latest bread attempt has been Ken Forkish book - lovely bread but very wet dough which sticks to everything. So decided to give this a try - why not have something else thrown in the back of a kitchen cupboard covered in dried on dough!! Very sceptical despite the rave reviews but wow - it works!!! Needs a good dusting of flour, especially first couple of uses. I don't clean at all between uses - just let the flour bed in. It is so reliable that I no longer turn the dough out onto floured surface and lift into the baking pot as per instructions (it'll only stick to the floured surface!!) - I just tip it straight in and it works every time. As for capacity - a 500g of flour mix seems a perfect fit; I've just done a 750g flour bake today which rose really well- it got slight muffin top in this basket but still tipped out perfectly and baked a great shape.
