Excellent shoe for a great price
I train in Krav Maga and boxing at my gym and after using running shoes for a while (which worked out okay for Krav but could really feel obstructing my movement and quickness in boxing), I searched for reasonably priced boxing/wrestling shoes. My instructor actually wears these in addition to some other guys in my gym, so I decided these would definitely be worth taking a look. At first I bought this product from my local Dick's Sporting Goods store but ended up returning it and buying these shoes from Amazon instead after I found them to be a good $10 cheaper on Amazon (love this part about the site). I've worn these shoes numerous times now and I must say they are really good - comfortable, light, stable, aesthetically pleasant (but nothing spectacular), pretty much everything a beginner to intermediate-level trainee would look for. I can definitely see the improvement in my movement in boxing so to anyone using running shoes for boxing, I would highly recommend investing in boxing/wrestling shoes like this one.

Good shoe for Good Price - Buy a FULL SIZE up
I just tried this shoe for the 1st time last night at my Krav Maga class. I was never a wrestler and am about 4 months into Krav. As such, I have not worn this type of shoe before. I have been going barefoot to class, but keep injuring my big and small toes while basing, posturing, etc. The shoes appear to provide the protection I need. They are very flexible but give me just enough of the protection for my toes. The price is right also. Very inexpensive. I looked at other martial arts shoes, but decided on these partly b/c of price and partly b/c I figured it would protect my ankles a little better. Now, fortunately, I read the reviews about sizing. ORDER A FULL SIZE LARGER. I wear an 11 regular in Nike running shoes. I ordered a 12 in these shoes and it is snug. The width seems fine to me so I think you can get away with your normal width size. However, in length, do not go just a 1/2 size up. Go a full size. You will not regret it. If you go a 1/2 size or true size, you will be sending the shoes back.

If you ride stand-up jetskis, the matflex series is the perfect riding shoe
I bought these for riding stand up jetskis as most riders do. The matflex series fit dive socks better then the other ASICS and they also have rubber all the way on the bottom unlike some of the more expensive models. The matflex also have lower vents which helps with water draining.Overall I am loving riding with them, they are perfect in every way for kicking into footholds yet being ableto get out quickly if upside down in the water. I would get the matflex 3 or 4's over any other ASICS wrestling shoe for riding stand ups.

Excellent
I bought these wrestling shoes to use primarily for doing heavy squats and leg workouts. They have worked excellently for that purpose. The reason for this is because there is no cushioning in the soles to compress and absorb the force being transmitted through your body from heavy weights. It provides a positive secure transmission platform for the forces generated through heavy lifting. When you wear shoes like these with no cushioning, you are able to lift and control heavier weights during leg workouts. These are also a cheaper alternative to the wooden sole powerlifting shoes.

Terrible
These broke with in one month of having them. Eyelets are weak and tear. Can't return, but they should have lasted longer then 1 month for sure!!!!!

female sizing still runs small
I ordered this in red in a 9.5m. My normal men's size shoe would be an 8.5m. My toes touched the end of the shoe. On the plus side, they were smaller in width too so they were nice and snug in the heel. I am returning the 9.5s and ordering an 11 in the men's. I decided to go with the 11 since I am not sure how much of a difference the .5 makes. The red is a nice and bright (which I wanted). The laces are not speed laces and there is absolutely no arch support. But the shoe looks well made and should last well. I used the super saver shipping and returns so it cost me nothing to exchange.

Great wrestling shoe for boxfit class
I was using running shoes for class but you definitely have to use wrestling or boxing shoes. What a difference in movement, lightness of shoe and right position of boxing stance, especially with foot grip. Thank goodness I had tried on these shoes at Sports Authority because I wear an 8 in Mens shoes and knew to order a 10 in mens. Yes they run small so order at least a full size to 2 sizes larger than what you normally wear if you wear socks; no socks or very thin socks you may just need a size and half larger than normal shoe size. IGreat price!!

Great shoe but buy a size up.
Excellent traction and support, as well as great stylish design. Build quality is fantastic as these lasted me well over a year while being used 4-5 times a week, hours on end. I only reaplaced them because the soles finally lost traction after so long. Be sure to purchase a size up because they run a little small like everyone says.
