Very well made
This cassette is very well made and very reasonably priced. It allowed me to convert my Trek Modone from 11-25 to 11-34 with just a Wolf Tooth Road Link and a new KMC chain. A very simple install I even did it in my living room. I may buy another one for my training bike.

Great Cassette! Works very well with Sram shifters & chain
XT is excellent as expected. I swapped out a Sram PG-1050 cassette that came stock on my bike for this cassette and upgraded from a Sram PC-1051 chain to a PC-1071 at the same time. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much bettter this new combo shifts than the previous cassette. I've got this paired with Sram XO shifters & derailleur - no compatibility issues whatsoever. After a few initial miles with a slight rubbing noise coming from my chain, this cassette has remained dead silent, and it shifts more crisply than the Sram. Added bonus - the largest cogs on this cassette are mated to a pair of spiders (versus all independent cogs on the Sram cassette), so my aluminum freehub body will stop getting completely chewed up by each sharp-edged cogs. Highly recommended!

Cassette
Not a disappointment. I purchased because I have the Crank Brothers Cobalt wheels and supposedly the SRAM Cassette's do not fit since the spider and/or dowels stick out a bit further on the backside. This fit perfectly and is a high quality part and seems to offer good value. No complaints.

Nice looking lightweight cassette
The instructions diagram shows a "lock ring spacer" that is not included BUT it is not needed. Appears they did not change the directions when they made the 10 speed cassettes. A quick web search confirms this; so now that you know about the non-existent spacer you can save yourself the anxiety ignorance provided me at first. Installation is very easy as all but one gear is on a spider or has built in spacer. The gears will only slide on the freewheel cog one way; but the black spacer needs to avoid the 'wide' grove area to seat strongest. I also noticed from the gear markings that in order to make this cassette an 11-36 model one can just order the first spider that holds three gears - all of the other parts are identical otherwise. One other note: during my web research for the 'missing' spacer I found that a common problem using these cassettes with Mavic hubs is that you apparently need 2 spacers on the inside of the freewheel before the first spider is installed. Mavic sells these spacers ? I do not know as I used M756-LA Shimano hub for my build.

3x10 to a 1x10 and XT+ is the way to go.
I purchased this cassette to go from a 3x10 to a 1x10 and it worked perfectly. With this type of setup I took out one of the center cogs in order to put on a 42T cog on the end. With this setup I can currently climb most hills. While I have the 42T cog on the rear I rarely use it as the 36T gives me most of the efficiency that I need to climb. I'm using a 34T crankset in the front. For those curious about going to 1x10 and are hesitant if you can still do all mountain, most of my rides are between 6-20 miles and I climb anywhere from 1,000-4,000 feet of elevation gain. From a recent uphill segment I've ridden an average of a 14% grade over the course of .5 miles. The range goes between 5% and 30%. It's important to note this as the SLX and lower models do not offer the option to remove one of the middle cogs in order to put on the higher cog. So grab the XT if this is the setup that you're going for.

Great fit and a good price.
Great set of cogs. Just needed to pick up two teeth and make lighten the load! Love the cut of the Shimano clusters.

Sometimes, steel is better
A nice, STEEL, gear set. Steel cogs don't wear as much, so the chain doesn't stretch as much, so your front pinions don't wear as much either. I've never been a "gram hunter" when it comes to my bike parts, Heavier parts last longer, and break less. If you've ever popped a chain, or snapped a BB shaft on a steep hill climb, then you'll appreciate that. The heavier my bike, the better it is at removing the weight around my middle, which is the whole point anyway. I recently bought this to replace one just like it, on the whole "change all drive parts together" school of thought. After taking the old one off, I realized I could have skipped it, as the teeth were not worn. STEEL!
