Works great no issues

I was skeptical because the price was very low for a mini size starter. (I paid close to $300 for one of these years ago for my EB) However having to change out my "Duralast" starters got pretty old even if they have a lifetime warranty. Been about 4 years and this starter has never failed. I havei it on a 67 F100 with a 351W/AOD setup with 10.5:1 compression. I live in Dallas...so things can get hot but no draging even in August after a good hot soak. Provides an amazing amount of clearance versus to OEM design. What more can I say it still looks great and starts the truck everytime. I ran 2/0 cable to it and use an Optima Redtop on this truck. Soon to build a 408W stroker for 66 F100 and will be buying another one.

It seems to work great so far no problems. I had issues with the stock starter turning over a mildly built 351w with aluminum heads. Not any more works like it should.

Upgraded my1988 Mustang 5.0 to this starter and very happy with the results. Lots more torque than the original. It bolted right in and all I had to do was run a trigger wire to the starter solenoid using 12 gauge copper wire (research on how to do this to get this starter to work on older foxbodies), and yes it works for both 5-speed or autos. Don't spend twice as much for the same starter at those Performance or Restoration sites as this one tested at 16Nm of torque (at least that's what the test paper included stated). Save your $ for some new tires and gasoline.

Great price! Starter worked great! Had it tested prior to install at NAPA autoparts, wrapped in thermal heat wrap as well. I marked it down a star because I had to make my own jumper wire, the one it came with was a joke. Connection end was weird on the wire it came with plus too short. Instructions were a lil vague, but atleast it had instructions.

So far so good. Solved my heat soak issue. Much smaller and lighter than the original. Only issue, the trigger wire shown to be included wasn't.

My mechanic installed this starter right out of the box and it didn't work. I took it to my local shop to have it tested and the whole unit was defective. Waste of my time and money and the added frustration of having to buy a brand new starter from the parts store. My old starter failed and I had this one ready to go, it didn't work and was a big inconvenience. The box it came in had a part number on it for an old school mag starter so I couldn't even reference the correct part number for a new one. You better refund my money. I shouldn't even give you one star but I have to, to submit this review. Thanks for nothing.
