I found shipping and packaging A plus! Item is very hardy, and took less than 5 minutes to install, two screws for a back plate, just slip hook on and use supplied hex head to tighten one screw. It does come with screws and plastic anchors for back plate, however my sheetrock is 1/2 inch thick and screws grabbed well with out anchors and I am only hanging one bath towel on it. It holds robes, towels, ect on, flawlessly, and does not have a cheap look or feel. Dresses up my Master Bath very well. I plan to buy another one. Price is almost too good to be true.

These are handsome, well engineered hooks. The chrome finish is flawless and heavy-duty. Once the inner bracket is properly installed, the hook (as shown) sits tight and flat against the wall. I installed one and immediately ordered another. After months of daily use, holding heavy weight terry bathrobes or damp towels, they remain securely in place. I suspect the same holds true for this complete line of Gatco products. Instructions for installation are simple and straightforward. Installation took some time, because I installed these into walls of plaster and lathe with appropriate anchors (bought separately) and plumber's epoxy. Most users, however, will probably install them into plaster board, and the sturdy anchors that are supplied with the hooks will simplify installation and securely hold the mounting bracket. The screws (supplied) for attaching the mounting bracket are long enough to go through plaster board and into studs, which would eliminate the need for anchors altogether.

The hook looks very nice and feels heavy for its size. It looks and feels high quality. A bath towel stays on the hook without slipping. Installation was easy. Turning a set screw with a small Allen wrench against a flat surface is a pain in the rear, particularly because quite a few turns are required, but the final look is clean and modern. The enclosed plastic drywall anchors are ridiculous. You are supposed to fold them, push through the wall, and then use the enclosed red pin to make them expand behind the wall. The way these anchors look, they will probably work best on a 3/8" drywall, with a 1/2" drywall they will not fully expand. I have installed this hook on the bathroom door, but if I were to install it on a wall, I'd use standard drywall anchors, not the enclosed ones.

If you search the internet for bathroom hardware, you can find robe hooks that cost more than $60. When I saw these hooks at a very reasonable price, I was skeptical about the quality. Not only do they look great but they are of very high quality. No regrets about purchasing two of them!

Wow! This hook is really great quality. It is real metal, not the coated plastic. Very heavy duty and easy for my husband to install. Looks great my new contemporary bathroom! I would recommend this brand any day over others. It is a little more expensive, but by far a superior quality hook. I'm using it as a hand towel hook and my towel staying on fine. I folded the towel over a little to hang it up. I also bought the toilet paper holder – again fantastic quality! I have just ordered the tile shelf to go over the toilet and I am expecting it will be great quality too.

After 50 years of buying whatever the local box store had on the shelf I am finally pleased with the fit, finish, and quality of this kind of bathroom stuff. It is not fancy nor is it the cheapest but it is fairly priced given the quality. I like the way they even dab locktite on the tension screw. Little attentions to detail like that means it won't looses like every other one that has a set screw has over the years. I ended up buying the whole set and I am very satisfied.

I bought this together with the matching Gatco 4683 Channel European style TP holder I am very happy with this product! Unlike similar accessories, the two screws hidden in the plate allow the hooks to attach firmly to the wall. It comes with plastic butterfly wall anchors which work well with drywall. Look modern and expensive. Will certainly use again!
